How nudemood collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us.
Last updated: August 27, 2026
This policy explains how Nude Mood (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects the personal information of people who visit nudemood.ca or place an order with us.
Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with nudemood.ca, we may collect: your name, email address, and phone number; your shipping address, if you have an order shipped; the contents of any message you send us through the Contact form; and basic order details (what you bought, when, and for how much).
We never see or store your full card number if you pay by card — see “Customer & Order Information” below for how that specifically works. Just browsing the site doesn’t collect anything about you at all — see “Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies” below.
Contact-Form Submissions
When you use the form on our Contact page, the name, email, subject, and message you enter are sent directly to us as an email, so we can reply to you. That message isn’t stored anywhere else — no separate database, no marketing list — it exists only as an email in our inbox, the same as if you’d emailed us directly.
Newsletter & Email Signups
If you sign up for our newsletter — either through the footer “Stay in the mood” form, or the opt-in checkbox at checkout — we store your email (and first name, if you gave one), the date you signed up, and where you signed up from. This is always a genuine choice: the checkout checkbox is never pre-checked, and signing up for the newsletter is never required to place an order.
This information is kept separate from your order information, and is used only to send you the emails you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email, or by contacting us (see “Withdrawal of Consent” below).
Customer & Order Information
When you place an order, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional), and — for a shipped order — your shipping address. This is used to fulfill your order and to send you order-status emails (order received, payment received, shipped, ready for pickup, and so on).
If you use “View Your Orders” to look up your order history, we email a secure, time-limited link to the address you enter — this exists so you can see your own order history without needing to create a password or account anywhere.
Payment information: if you pay by card, your card details are entered directly into a payment form provided by Square, our payment processor — they go straight to Square, never to our own systems. We only ever receive confirmation that the payment succeeded and a reference number for it. If you pay by Interac e-Transfer, that payment happens directly through your own bank and Interac; we only see that a payment has arrived in our account, which we match to your order by hand.
Shipping & Local-Pickup Information
For a shipped order, your name and shipping address are shared with the shipping and delivery providers we use, solely so they can deliver your package to you. We don’t share anything beyond what a courier needs to complete the delivery.
For Local Pickup, no shipping address is needed — we just store the appointment date and time you book, alongside your order, and share our pickup location (Sainte-Dorothée, Laval) once your time is scheduled.
Feedback & Form Submissions
Any free-text field you fill in on our site — an order note at checkout, a message through the Contact form — is used only for the purpose you gave it to us for (fulfilling your order, answering your message). We don’t repurpose it for marketing or share it beyond what’s needed to help you.
How and Why We Use Information
We use the personal information described above to: process and fulfill your order; communicate with you about that order; respond to questions or messages you send us; send you marketing emails, but only if you’ve opted in; and keep the records Canadian tax law requires us to keep. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for automated profiling or targeted advertising — see “Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies” below for why that isn’t currently even possible on this site.
Third-Party Service Providers
A small number of outside services help us run nudemood.ca, each handling only what it needs to do its specific job:
- Vercel — hosts our website and our order database.
- Resend — sends our transactional emails (order updates) and our newsletter.
- Square — processes card payments; handles your card details directly, never passing them through our systems.
- Our shipping and delivery providers — deliver a shipped order to you.
Data Storage & Processing Outside Quebec or Canada
Some of the providers listed above — including Resend and Square, and the infrastructure behind Vercel’s hosting — may store or process personal information on servers located outside Quebec, including in the United States. We’ve chosen providers that maintain strong security and privacy practices, but information processed this way may be subject to the laws of the country where it’s handled, which can differ from Quebec’s.
Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies
nudemood.ca does not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tracking technology — simply browsing the site doesn’t collect anything about you. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, before any such tool is added.
Information Retention & Deletion
Order records are kept for at least six years, in line with the Canada Revenue Agency’s recordkeeping requirements for sales and tax purposes.
Newsletter/marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. A Contact form message exists only as an email in our inbox, kept as long as we keep any of our email, until it’s deleted.
Security Practices
We take reasonable steps to protect your information — for example, we never handle your raw card details ourselves (Square does, directly), and the services we rely on (Vercel, Resend, Square) maintain their own security standards. That said, no online system can guarantee perfect security, and we can’t promise one either.
Your Right to Access or Correct Your Information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and request that we correct it if it’s wrong, or delete it where we’re not required to keep it (for example, tax records — see “Information Retention & Deletion” above). Reach out to cassandra@nudemood.ca and we’ll respond.
Withdrawal of Consent
Wherever we rely on your consent — like the newsletter — you can withdraw it at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we’re separately required to keep, like the order records tax law requires.
Privacy Complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please reach out to us directly first, at cassandra@nudemood.ca — we’d like the chance to make it right. You can also file a complaint with Quebec’s privacy regulator, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI).
Privacy Officer Contact Information
Cassandra Stefanakis is the Privacy Officer for Nude Mood — the person responsible for the protection of personal information under Quebec’s privacy law. Nude Mood is a sole proprietorship operated by Cassandra Stefanakis. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact cassandra@nudemood.ca.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time, as the business or the services we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the most current version — we’d encourage checking back occasionally, especially before placing an order.
